Im am still a bit shocked, but I just did my first spell in the dream realm. Awhile back, like a few years ago, I wrote a blog on magick, which I had posted here on Monday, June 25th, 2007. I may have originally posted it through my myspace blog when I first had a myspace page…anyhow, here is a quote from my article "Basic Ritual Structure in Western Magick". (At one time, I had quite a few metaphysical articles posted at cards by jinn, but for some reasons, i do not show them right now). Here is the quote…
"….So dream-time is perhaps, theoretically, a place where you could use your will in accordance to get what you want, causing change to occur in whatever situation, in whatever way you wished, and then see it physically manifest in this plane we are in. Perhaps we could train to do this, but dream-time is still chaos for modern man at this time, and I don’t see that as an easily changeable thing."
So now, my veiwpoint on the above statement has changed. In my dream, I clearly had symbols of what is occuring in my awake time. The symbols were altered slightly, but im a pro so it was very easy when i awoke, to review the sequence of scenes from the dream, and then decipher what I was actually doing. I was clearly working on the real- life situation, but in my dream. My tools were symbols that connect with the situation, and I altered them to show truth, and then responded with certain actions in the dream.
For example, in awake life, we cannot see things from all sides..we can only see our own perspective, and then use guessing games to try to see how others view the same scenario. We are intelligent humans, and for most people, this "lets see things through their eyes" game is a moderate win. For other individuals, they have simply no ability to view things from other peoples perpective. Call it personality disorder, narcissism…or other terms…some people cannot have empathy for others.
Really on a tangent here, but stick with me because i know where Im going…
Getting back to dreamtime…it completely allows for the sub conscience to divert a channel around the conscience brain, who loves to regulate the fuck out of our feelings and perceptions. With this way to avoid regulation, the inner self, higher self, or spirit..is free to work on things unencumbered.
The brain can perceive different levels of experiences easier during sleep, but for most people, the symbols in a dream are too complex, frustrating, annoying, or frightning…causing you upon waking, to immediatly distance yourself from the dream. Symbols are ignored or lost.
Remembering is key, and that happens because you have awakened during the dream. Dreams come and go during sleep, but to awaken during one is on purpose. Maybe your body suddenly realizes it needs to wake up. Acknowledging what occured during the dream is required. Then interpretting the signs.
This morning, right before I woke up, I had a dream where the symbols in the dream manifested in a way that allowed me to change things. When i say change, I mean in the dream, I assumed control, and I made bold actions. The actions didnt make sense at first… but upon reviewing this experience, I can clearly see that I was working on things in my dream because I was the character in the dream making all the actions.
Before bed, I was thinking of the certain situation that the dream was relating to, so it was fresh on my mind. Perhaps thinking of any situation right before bed, will allow you to translate the issues to the dreamspace. You can then work on things by interacting with the symbols, people, objects, places..etc..that are appearing in your dream. Your spirit will guide you through the experience, and feelings of helplessness will not occur when you are doing magick in the dreamspace, because there is no conscience self doubt. When you are the one who is in control of the scenarios in your dream, your spirit is doing this to assist you in the awake time.
